DAF XF105 Typical problems and causes
1. EGR system (exhaust gas recirculation)
Problem: EGR valve clogging, carbon deposits.
Cause: low quality fuel and oil, low revving.
Consequence: loss of power, increased fuel consumption, environmental error.
2. Fuel system (Common Rail)
Problem: injector wear, fuel injection pump failure.
Cause: dirty fuel, water entering the system.
Consequence: engine misfiring, smoke, drop in fuel pressure.
3. Turbocharger
Problem: turbine failure.
Cause: untimely oil change, overheating, dust ingress.
Consequence: loss of power, smoke, whistling/noise.
4. AdBlue/SCR system
