MAN D 2848 - Common Problems and How to Prevent Them
🔧 1. Engine overheating
Causes:
Faulty thermostat
Clogged radiator
Air locks in the system
Weak water pump
Prevention:
- Regularly flush the cooling system
- Monitor the level and quality of the coolant
- Change the thermostat and pump according to the regulations
- Check the belt tension and fan operation
💨 2. Increased smoke (black, white, blue smoke)
Causes:
Faulty injectors
Oil or coolant getting into the cylinders
Dirty air filter
Prevention:
- Periodically clean or change injectors
- Use only high-quality fuel and oil
- Check and service the crankcase ventilation system
- Avoid excessive oil consumption
