🔌 1. Frayed and broken wires
Where it occurs: most often in bends - between the cabin and the frame, in doorways, behind the battery box.
Symptoms: flashing panel, power failure, unstable operation of lighting or control unit.
Solution: visual inspection, wiring test, replacement of damaged sections.
⚠️ 2. Corrosion of connectors and poor ground contact
Typical for: fuse boxes, ECU connectors, rear of the frame.
Symptoms: CAN bus errors, lighting failures, spontaneous restarts of units.
Solution: cleaning, treatment with protective grease, replacement of connectors and ground mounting points.
💡 3. Sensor malfunctions
Frequently fail:
ABS sensor on wheels (due to dirt or broken cable)
AdBlue level sensor
Coolant temperature sensor
Symptoms: errors on the panel (e.g. EBS, SCR), systems shutdown.
Solution: scan with a diagnostic scanner, check the wiring to the sensor, replace.
🔋 4. Problems with the battery and starter circuit
Symptoms: poor starting, low voltage error, blinking instruments.
Causes: oxidized terminals, voltage drop, worn wires.
Solution: check the voltage under load, clean the contacts, replace the terminals or wires.
🧠 5. Failures of electronic units (VECU, FFR, EDC)
Symptoms: complete loss of communication with modules, constant errors, non-working systems (e.g. window lifters, headlights, climate control).
Reasons: poor power supply, software failures, damaged wiring or CAN bus failure.
Solution: reflashing, checking power supply and ground circuits, replacing the unit if necessary.
