1. Engine

(depending on year and version — DCI 11, DXi 11, DXi 13)

Common Rail injectors — wear of nozzles, fuel leakage into the return line, pressure drop.

Bosch/Delphi fuel injection pump — wear of plungers, appearance of metal shavings.

Turbine — oil leaks, loss of boost due to bearing wear or actuator failure.

EGR and DPF (Euro 4–5) — coking, loss of power, switching to emergency mode.

Crankshaft position sensor (CPS) — sudden engine shutdown.

2. Electrical

Problems with wiring harnesses — fractures and chafing at the joints of the cabin and frame.

Oxidation of contacts in BSI/UPC units, causing malfunctions of headlights, window lifters, and horns.

Instrument cluster glitches — loss of readings, blinking lights.

3. Transmission

ZF manual gearboxes — wear of synchronizers (especially 2-3 gear).

Optidriver — failure of clutch actuator or gear selector, electronic failures.

Leaking gearbox seals and cardan shaft.

4. Suspension and steering

Wear of suspension and cabin air springs.

Play in steering tips and rods.

Wear of axle reaction rod silent blocks.

5. Brake system

ABS/EBS failures due to damage or contamination of wheel sensors.

Air leaks in pneumatic lines and valves.

6. Cabin and body

Leaking door and hatch seals.

Squeaking and play in the cabin lifting mechanism.

Wear of door locks.
