🔌 1. Electrical wiring problems
Chafing of wires in the cabin and frame
Often found in bending areas, especially near the doors, frame and battery box.
Corrosion of connectors and contacts
Moisture and salt cause oxidation in connections - especially in the rear of the car and headlight units.
Weak ground contact
Unstable power supply to control units, CAN bus errors.
📟 2. Sensors and their malfunctions
Boost pressure sensor (MAP)
Causes a drop in power and an engine error (e.g. PID 102 FMI 3).
Coolant / oil temperature sensor
Erroneous readings cause overheating, emergency modes.
AdBlue level sensor
Frequently fails - SCR errors appear, inability to start.
ABS / ESP sensor on wheels
Dirt, damage to the cable or toothed disk lead to the activation of the EBS / ABS systems.
🧠 3. Electronic unit failures (ECU, VECU, TECU)
Lost communication between modules
Errors of type MID 140, PID 190 FMI 9 — indicate a communication failure via CAN.
Gearbox control unit failure (I-Shift)
Shift errors, spontaneous resets, starting problems.
Central VECU failures (body electronics unit)
Headlights, window lifters, wipers or locks do not work.
